Change device
Move your data to another device using a backup you created manually.
To change devices, create a backup on the old device and place the file somewhere you can access from the new one. Install Revisync, open restore and select the file using the system picker.
Checklist
- Create the backup before uninstalling or clearing the old app.
- Confirm that the file finished saving.
- Keep the original copy until the restore is validated.
- Check a few subjects, content items, dates and settings on the new device.
There is no automatic device-to-device synchronisation in the MVP. The transfer depends on the copy you started and the destination you chose.
Do not delete too soon: removing the old app before creating and checking a backup can leave you without a recoverable copy.
