The schedule turns cycle steps into dates. The default normal schedule uses 1, 7 and 20. The long-term schedule uses 1, 3, 7, 21 and 60.
Changing the schedule
When the global schedule changes, future dates should be recalculated using the new rule. History that has already been recorded remains history; the change affects planning that has not happened yet.
Choose intervals you can realistically follow. A longer schedule is not automatically better, and a shorter one is not automatically worse.
Check the calendar: changing a schedule does not delete your content, but it can change what is planned next.
